Born on 10 September 1921 at Merksem (Antwerp). He was trainee at the Flying School in Aé Mil when the War started. Transferred to France and arrived at Oujda in Morocco when France capitulated. Escaped with part of the School to Great Britain where he arrived on August 5th, 1940. He joined the RAF Depot at St. Athan on August 13th,1940. He started his training at the EFTS at Ternhill (15 May 1941 - 16 August 1941) joining 61 OTU (17 August 1941 - 6 October 1941). His training finished, he was posted to 74 Sqn (7 October 1941), 1486 Flight (4 November 1941), 350 Sqn (14 November 1941). He was seriuosly injured in a A/C accident at Valley  on  a transfer (N° 3 Delivery Flight ) of Spitfire IIA P7284 from 610 Sqn to 350 Sqn. 15 May sa him posting to  232 Sqn returning to 350 Sqn on the 3rd September 1942. He then was posted to 53 OTU (19 June 1944), 84 GSU (1 January 1945) and 349 Sqn (7 January 1945). April 25, 1945 ,  a Armed Recce south of Wesermunde (Stottel) saw his plane (MK488) hit by ground fire and killing him.
