Robert Ernould was born at Hemptinne, 7 October 1920. Engaged the RAFVR on 7 August 1941. Send for training to 5ITW on 8 December 1941, 10 EFTS on 10 May 1942, 22 SFTS on 22 July 1942, 58 OTU on 12 January 1943 and 57 OTU on 26 January 1943. Posted as Sgt to 350 Sqn on 14 April 1943. Promoted F/Sgt on 6 January 1944. Posted to RAF Station Harwell (N.O.F.D.) on 10 July 1944, RAF Station Rivenhall (N.O.F.D.) on 24 October 1944. Commisioned P/O, 31 October 1944. Passes to 85 GSU on 26 February 1945 where he stays till 22 May 1945.
