Born, Rotterdam, 23 August 1917,
Ludovic took a voluntary engagement at Pilot School for two
years and was admited to 76 Promotion (01 September 1937) On
01 September 1939, he re-engaged for one year. The country
being invaded by the Germans, he passes with his unit to
France (15 May 1940). On 20 August 1940, he returns to
Belgium. He leaves Belgium for France (25 May 1942) and is
arrested at Verona in Spain (14 June 1942). Being emprissoned
at Barcelona, Saragossa, Irun, he finaly arrives at Miranda on
29 July 1942. Released on 19 April 1943, he was sent to
Gibraltar. He arrived in G.B. on 24 July 1943. He enroled into
Belgian Forces in G.B (04 August 1943) and was posted to the
Depot AéM. Training saw F/Sgt (16 November 1943) Lambrechts
passing N°1 RAF Depot (15 November 1943), RAF College - SFTS
(27 December 1943) and 57 OTU (28 March 1944). He was posted
to 350 Sqn where he arrived on 30 May 1944. A short posting to
26 Sqn (05 September 1944) saw him returning to 350 Sqn till
EoW. After the War he joined SABENA. He died in a plane crash
(Sabena B-707-329 00-SJB) at Berg (near Brussels
Airport) on 15 February 1961.
