Born at Coventry, UK, 29 August 1917. Air gunner at the Aé Mil before War. Escaped from Belgium on 28 February 1941 and arrived in the UK on 10 October 1941. He volunteered to RAFVR on 12 February 1942 and started training at Cardington followed by 17 ITW (15 March 1942), promoted Leading Aircraftman (22 May 1942), 6 EFTS (17 Juny 1942), 31 EFTS (26 September 1942), 37 SFTS (1 January 1943), joining PDC-Ottawa (17 April 1943) with commission of P/O , 7 PRC (27 May 1943), 5 PAFU (29 Juny 1943) and 53 OTU (26 October 1943) with the rank of F/O. Posted into 350 Sqn on 15 January 1944. Further postings saw him joining HQ-ADGB on 15 September 1944, the Belgian Training School on 2 October 1944, 83 GSU on 22 February 1945, returning to 350 Sqn on 13 March 1945. Joined the Belgian Air Force after the War.
