Born on 25/03/1922 at Mechelen. Left Belgium as refugee in May 1940. Arrival in UK on 23 May 1940. Taken up into Belgian Forces on 22 February 1941 at Tenby. Joined RAFVR on 2 September 1941. Started training on 12 October 1942, joined 17 ITW (31 October 1942), 8 EFTS on 5 February 1943, 2 ACDC (12 March 1943), PDC-Ottawa (9 April 1943), 31 EFTS (31 May 1943), 34 SFTS (09 August 1943), as Sergeant Pilot to
31 PDC (28 November 1943), 7 PRC (21 December 1943), 5 PAFU (20 June 1944), 53 OTU (31 October 1944), Promoted W/O, 26 November 1944, joined 83 GSU (6 March 1945). Posted to 350 Sqn on 6 April 1945. Joined the newly formed Belgian Air Force after the War. Rested on 1 April 1967.
