Born on 27 November 1906 at Antwerp. Joined the Belgian Army on 8 August 1927 as milician. Joined the Military School in November 1927. Detached to the Aéronautique Militaire on 1 December 1929. CO of 3/II/2Aé when War broke out. Claimed two destroyed during the invasion of Belgium. Left with his unit to France on 15 May 1940. Returned to Belgium on 20 August 1940. Evaded from Belgium on 4 February 1942 and arrived in Great Britain on 27 March 1942. Enlisted into Belgian Section of RAF on 4 May 1942. Send for training to 5 PAFU on 5 August 1942, 58 OTU on 20 October 1942. Promoted P/O on 12 January 1943. Posted to 616 Sqn on 18 January 1943 before joining 350 Sqn on 3 March 1943. Left the Sqn on 1 July 1943 to join 3 Sqn. F/O, 12 July 1943. Shot down on 25 September 1943 (Typhoon MKIB  JP439), he was made POW and send to Stalag Luft III. Joined the Belgian Air Force after the War. Died at Ostend on 31 May 1995.
