Born on 22 July 1906 at
Hastière-Lavaux, worked in France after the capitulation of
the Belgian Army. Joined the UK where he arrived on 12 July
1942 and enlisted in the RAF as
groundcrew. Posted to 350 Sqn on 7 December 1942 before he attended Air Gunner
course together with Richelet in September 1943 at 2 A.G.S.,
RAF Dalcross. Further training saw him at 83 O.T.U., RAF
Child's Ercall and in April 1944 at the 1656 Conversion Unit
before being posted at RAF Kermington, 166 Sqn where he
arrived on 13 Mai 1944. Died when on a raid to Dortmund, Avro Lancaster MkI LL954
'AS-E' flown by F/O Shepperd, crashed at Birgelen-Wasserberg, near Aachen on 23 May
1944. Buried at Evere.
